Susan Harvey

PRESIDENT AND FOUNDER

Susan Harvey is the founder and president of Plantwerks, Inc. in Salisbury, MA. Founded in 1984, Plantwerks provides interior landscaping services to the Boston and Metrowest areas, Eastern Massachusetts, Southern New Hampshire, and Southern Maine.

Susan has a degree in Floriculture from Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute and a degree in Urban Planning from Salem State College. She completed graduate studies at Harvard University and recently completed her LEED certification. Susan is a registered educator for continuing education programs for the American Institute of Architects and is a member of the Building Owners & Managers Association, the American Society of Interior Designers, the U.S. Green Building Council, the Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce, and Green Plants for Green Buildings.

Cynthia Peterson

ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER

Cynthia Peterson is the administrative manager for Plantwerks. She manages the day-to-day operations of the office and maintains Plantwerks’ accounts payables and receivables. With a degree in Ornamental Horticulture, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.

Our team Lynne Petty

Lynne Petty

REGIONAL SALES/BIOPHILIC DESIGN CONSULTANT

Lynne Petty is the sales and design consultant for Plantwerks. She has more than 25 years of sales and design experience with 10 years of experience in the horticultural industry. She believes the best greenery designs include discerning taste, emotion, a dash of adventure, and intuitive touch. Lynne clearly understands how the implementation of biophilic design aesthetically improves the interior environment.

As a Registered Trainer for Green Plants for Green Buildings (GPGB), Lynne offers CEU training for design professionals to earn continuing education credits required to maintain their state and national licenses. She holds a dual degree in Marketing and Management from Northeastern University. She currently serves as President of the Plum Island Beautification Society.

Our team Taylor

Taylor Korfhage-Poret

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Taylor Korfhage-Poret is the regional operations manager at Plantwerks. Taylor has more than 15 years of experience in designing, managing, and installing projects in the interior and exterior landscape industry. With his experience in project management and horticulture, Taylor brings a diverse skill set to our team. He leads our operations team in the field and manages our horticultural technicians.

Taylor has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University with a major in Landscape Architecture and a minor in Horticulture and Urban Planning.

Linda Higgins

QUALITY CONTROL AND ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR

Linda Higgins is our Quality Control and Assurance Supervisor. Linda communicates and troubleshoots plant care issues between our clients, Plantwerks’ management team, and our horticultural technicians. She joined Plantwerks in 2018 working on holiday installations and special projects and became a horticultural technician in 2019. 

Prior to joining Plantwerks, Linda was as a special needs teacher for students with social, emotional and behavioral needs for 40 years. She retired in 2018 after teaching in the Beverly, Massachusetts Public School system for 20 years. Linda graduated from Wheelock College with a B.S. in early childhood education, grades K-9 and moderate special needs for ages 0-22.

Random Fun Fact: Up until about 5 years ago I was exclusively called by my middle name. Now I’ve embraced my first name, Mary, and that’s what I use

Philosophy: that you need to laugh as much as possible. Even when things aren’t going great, find some humor, it will honestly save you😉
